Solutions to traffic problem in Ho Chi Minh City

Traffic in Ho Chi Minh City has been a persistent problem. The city has applied many solutions such as rearrangement of traffic, build of over pass and other constructions. However, to solve the problem thoroughly, it still needs solutions in traffic regulation by utilizing IT, computation and communication. This project aims to provide a solution for building an intelligent transportation system for Ho Chi Minh City using simulation and IT. The project was sponsored and supported by the Department of Transportation of Ho Chi Minh City.
Solutions to increase operation effectiveness of healthcare centers and hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City
Project length: 2013 – 2016; PI: Assc. Prof. Ho Thanh Phong
This project is to solve the problem of overload situation in healthcare centers and hospitals in Vietnam using simulation and IT system. The project particularly attracted the attention of Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City and was demo first to some main hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.
Supply chain design for various agriculture products of provinces in the South of Vietnam

Vietnamese farmers usually do not have accurate information about the market needs of their products as well as their possible supply chains. Thus, they are always in a passive position, their profit is often uncertain and depend a lot on traders. This project is to solve this urgent need of having a sustainable solution for producing and consuming various agriculture products of provinces in the South of Vietnam. The agriculture products include: Ngoc Linh ginseng (Kontum province), sweet potato (Vinh Long province), mushroom (Dong Thap province), organic vegetable and pepper (Binh Duong province), dragon fruit and milk apple.
